Sparnicht is a ceramic design studio based in Portland, Oregon. They produce porcelain tableware and stoneware planters, mugs and vases. Led by Michelle Sparnicht, the studio formally launched in 2020. Michelle approaches her designs with a keenness for aesthetic perfection and everyday functionality--criteria she has developed throughout 15 years of working with clay. All of their wares are thrown in house (literally in Michelle's basement!). The finishes are mixed by hand and custom formulated. Glazes are tested for food safety and are lead-free.
