In this immersive, hands-on rose-centered class, you’ll begin by learning from floral designer Jacquelyn Smith, who will guide you in crafting a traditional European-style nosegay using locally grown roses and fresh greenery.

Herbalist Sandy Siegal will then share the physical and emotional healing properties of rose in herbal medicine, offering insight into how rose can support the heart, soothe the nervous system, and deepen self-care rituals. book here

Finally, perfumer Jess Mennella of FLWR Napa Valley will then walk you through the art of composing a rose-based oil perfume, blending botanical essences, and building your signature scent with a botanical foundation. 

Alongside your handmade perfume and formula, and your bouquet, you’ll also take home a rose herbal tea blend created with this class in mind, offering a way to continue the experience through ritual and reflection. 

By the end, you’ll carry with you a personal bouquet, a bottle of scent memory, and a deeper understanding of the timeless relationship between rose, healing, and beauty.

Sandy Siegal is an herbalist, holistic nutritionist and the founder of Botanicalife, a botanicals store and brand located in downtown San Anselmo.  Everything that she creates is inspired by the plants and the healing and magic that they bring.

Jacquelyn Smithhas always been passionate about flowers; following in her mother’s footsteps to pursue the floral craft. She opened The Anselmo Rose to share her passion for floral design and vintage aesthetic. Her creations reflect both a respect for classical techniques and the natural rhythm and elegance found within nature itself.

Jess Mennella is a perfumer, flower essence therapist, and scent educator for whom the world of beauty and the vibrational power of nature are inextricably linked. Drawing from her training in natural perfumery, flower essence therapy, and meditation, she uses a range of techniques in scent education and vibrationally activated natural perfume development.
